Andrew (Andy) Gruss,
an American electrical engineer and researcher in computer vision. He holds a Ph.D. in 1991 on the topic of range imaging at Carnegie Mellon University under advisor Takeo Kanade. At CMU during the late 80s, he was member of the HiTech team around Hans Berliner, responsible for the hardware, and designer of some new units [1].
