David Goldberg,
an American mathematician with a Ph.D. from Princeton University, computer scientist, adjunct professor at Scripps Research Institute, technical fellow at eBay, and former research scientist at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), where he invented the Unistrokes Handwriting recognition technology [1], which was subject of a lawsuit with Palm, Inc. concerning their Graffiti (Palm OS) [2]. In the early 90s he published recognized papers on floating-point arithmetic.
