EnginMax,
a Chess Engine Communication Protocol, and later UCI compliant chess engine written by Engin Üstün in C and C++. The development started in 1995, and a first release was published late 2000 [1]. An updated version played the CCT13 instead of Tornado and gained a respectable 50% score.
