Fredrik Niemelä,
a Swedish computer scientist, consultant, and co-founder and CEO of Kattis [1], specializing in automated assessment and technical recruiting systems. He holds a M.Sc. in computer science and engineering in 2004, and a Ph.D. in computer science education in 2015, both from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, and was visiting professor at Baylor University, Waco, Texas, from 2010 until 2013, teaching data structures, algorithms, graphics, game programming, and researching computer science education. Before, from 2006 to 2010, Fredrik Niemelä was development director at Spotify. As part of his master's thesis he designed communications protocols over SIP for mobile games on Nokia mobile phones. During the mid 2000s, he was affiliated with the ICGA in supporting Computer Olympiads as well as associated conferences. He was privileged to lead the Hex competition at the 11th Computer Olympiad [2].
