Galen Huntington,
an American mathematician and computer scientist. He received his Ph.D. in computational model theory at University of California, Berkeley in 2008, where he examined computer-aided methods for solving a class of open problems in probability theory. His recent research interests include chess endgame tablebases considering the fifty-move rule concerning the halfmove clock, dubbed ply count or PC. He has written a tablebase generator and probing code in Haskell to built DTM50 tablebases for a large spectrum of configurations with as many as six men [1], and one seven men kqqqqqk for didactic purpose [2] . His work was inspired by posts of Kronsteen in the CCRL discussion board [3] .
