Germán Blanquer,
a Spanish computer scientist and former computer chess programmer. Along with Mario Carbonell Martinez and Alvaro Benlloch, Germán Blanquer is co-author of the chess engine Killer [1], which regularly played the Spanish Computer Chess Championship in the 90s. He was member of a team from Valencia Chess Club Deportivo Basilio [2], playing a match versus dedicated chess computers in May 2000, which was won 4-2 by the machines. He was the only one who won his game, playing a Novag Sapphire [3].
