Kees de Kruif,
a Dutch computer scientist, business analyst, chess player, Chess960 promoter and tournament organizer [1], and editor of the on-line magazine Reykjavik of the Amsterdam chess club Fischer Z [2] [3]. While affiliated with the Vrije Universiteit in the late 70s and early 80s, he developed the early chess program Killer which played the First Dutch Computer Chess Championship 1981 on a PDP-11 of the VU [4].
