L'Empereur,
a dedicated chess computer incorporating a Z80 processor with a Richard Lang Cyrus program, designed by Intelligent Software and manufactured by Jean-Jacques Japhet's company CLJ Industries [1], which was the liquidated company of Frederic Ries who manufactured La Regence [2]. Along with its program stablemate Intelligent Chess Software, L'Empereur played the WMCCC 1984 in Glasgow
