Neil Burch,
a Canadian computer scientist and senior software developer in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta. As member if the Chinook team, he wrote the proof tree manager code for the checkers solver [1]. He is active member of University of Alberta Computer Poker Research Group (UACPRG). Along with Nathan Sturtevant, Mesut Kirci, Jonathan Schaeffer, Mohammad Shafiei, Kevin Waugh, Richard Valenzano, and Mehdi Samadi, Neil Burch is co-author of the General Game Playing program Maligne [2].
