Nero,
a chess program developed by Jari Huikari, written in Pascal and x86 inline assembly [1]. Initially a DOS program first released in 1998, it later evolved to a Winboard compatible engine. Nero performs alpha-beta inside an iterative deepening framework without a transposition table and a "real" quiescence search [2].
