Small-C,
a chess program written by Eric Marathée in C, since 2002 supporting UCI. Small-C played many French Computer Chess Championships, and several French Programmers Tournaments. In 2005, Small-C evolved to Gibbon.

Small-C was born around 1990 and would compute 200 nodes per second at that time. It was intended as a joke. It is still a joke. Around year 2000, it came to take part to the French Championship in Massy where the program clearly established itself as one of the most heavily bugged ... Fortunately, it has been (seriously) improved since then, and evolved into Gibbon.
