Thomas Opfer,
a German mathematician and computer scientist affiliated with the Darmstadt University of Technology. His research interests include mathematical optimization and computational complexity theory, in particular quantified integer linear programming. Due to uncertainty, linear programs with their structural properties describe the complexity class PSPACE, and are therefor suited for modeling and possibly solving PSPACE-complele games, such as Othello, Gomoku, Amazons and others [1].
