Adam Kujawski,
a Polish computer scientist and chess programmer. He is author of the first Polish chess program, called Joanna[1], being a part of his masters thesis from 1994 [2]. His paper had major impact on chess programming in Poland, containing a good natural language description of most important concepts and techniques. Joanna has been revived by Jim Ablett, who added Chess Engine Communication Protocol support to the version of 2002.
