		Amstrad CPC, a series of Z80A based "all in one" home computers, produced by Amstrad between 1984 and 1990, in German speaking countries branded by Amstrad partner Schneider Rundfunkwerke AG as Schneider CPC. The Zilog Z80A processor ran at 4 MHz. The computer issued 64 KiB or up to 128 KiB of RAM using bank switching, expandable to 576 KiB, a video display controller with 3 modes of 16, 4 and 2 colors, the latter with a resolution of 640x200 pixels and 80 text colums, AY-3-8910 sound chip, tape recorder (464) or 3" floppy drive (optional external in 464) and two RS-232 serial ports. The CPC had its native operating systen AMSDOS and Locomotive BASIC interpreter in 32 KiB ROM, and was able to boot CP/M and SymbOS from disk [1].
