Bookbuilder,
a commercial chess program for analyzing chess opening positions and to build engine opening books. The program runs under Windows and comes with an own GUI and Crafty as default analyzing engine, has its own proprietary database format, and can import and export Portable Game Notation. Bookbuilder was initially developed by Bas Hamstra and subsequently by Michel Langeveld [1], and Deak Ferenc, supported by Anca Schlupek for board and piece graphics. Ideas, testing, and evaluation are credited to Didzis Cirulis, Jan Kaan and Tony Werten. Bookbuilder is copyright by KEC, a small software company based in The Netherlands [2].
