Burton (Burt) Wendroff, (born March 10, 1930) an American mathematician [1] and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of New Mexico and also a retired Laboratory Associate at the Theoretical Division, Group T7, Los Alamos National Laboratory. Along with co-author Tony Warnock, Burton Wendroff is primary author of the Chess program Lachex, which competed at various ACM Tournaments and World Computer Chess Championships [2] in the 80s and early 90s.
