a German mathematician and computer scientist, and along with M. Krüger co-autor of the early mainframe chess program Samiel, which was subject of their diplom thesis at Gesellschaft für Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung mbH, Bonn ^[1]. Eberhard Klein holds a Ph.D. in mathematics on the topic of heuristics selection and learning methods in computer games from University of Bonn under advisor Gerd Veenker ^[2].
