Enterprise, Kaare Danielsen's second chess program for a 6800 instruction set compatible 6301Y controller with 16 KiB ROM and 2.25 KiB RAM. It played the WCCC 1986 against most of the mainframe programs and received respectful one and a half points out of five, with a win against Awit and a draw versus Chat.
Kaare Danielsen's second chess program for a 6800 instruction set compatible 6301Y controller with 16 KiB ROM and 2.25 KiB RAM. It played the WCCC 1986 against most of the mainframe programs and received respectful one and a half points out of five, with a win against Awit and a draw versus Chat.
Enterprise was sold from 1986 in approximately 50.000 units [1] by Newcrest Technology as CXG Super Enterprise [2], CXG Sphinx Titan, CXG Super Crown [3], CXG Advanced Star Chess and in 1987 by Hegener & Glaser as Mephisto Merlin 16K [4] [5].

Oracle
In his 1996 ICCA Journal paper on CHE, Chrilly Donninger mentions Kaare Danielsen as inventor of the pre-processing Oracle approach for his program CXG Advanced Star Chess [7]. However, there was also the famous Pre Scan Heuristics by David Kittinger as implemented in Super Constellation, and the whole idea was originally implemented in the program Tech by James Gillogly in the late 1960s [8].Selected Games
