Explorer,
a chess playing entity by Edward de Grijs which played the DOCCC 1991 and the DOCCC 1993. In 1993, Edward de Grijs came up with a new chess special pupose hardware controlled by a 386SX PC ^[1], searching 350,000 nodes per second ^[2].

Despite losing, Explorer's first official game at the DOCCC 1991 round 1 versus Shess , was quite entertaining and worth to be published in ICCA Journal as one of two games in Peter van Diepen's report ... ^[3]
