Frédéric Maire, (Frederic Maire)
a French Australian mathematician, computer scientist, and senior lecturer at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia with research interests in Computer vision, robotics and Graph theory. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France, under advisor Claude Berge with the title Des Polyominos aux Graphes Parfaits; Contribution a L'Etude des Proprietes Combinatoires de ces Structures (On the structural properties of polyominos and perfect graphs). Frédéric Maire published papers on the Shannon switching game, and the game of Hex, where he is co-author of the program Hex Kriger, which competed at the 11th Computer Olympiad, Turin 2006.
