Gábor Melis, a Hungarian mathematician, computer scientist, software developer, and research engineer at Google DeepMind. His research interests focus on machine learning, data mining, and Lisp with expertise in C, C++ and Java, specializing in deep learning, neural networks, and evolutionary algorithms [1]. Gábor Melis is author of the Hex-program Six, three times Gold medal winner at Computer Olympiads. In November 2010, Gábor won the Google AI Challenge organized by the University of Waterloo with his Planet Wars bot Bocsimackó written in Lisp [2]. In 2014, he won the Higgs Boson Machine Learning Challenge on Kaggle [3] [4] [5].
