GAFS, (Guido Antonelli Finali di Scacchi)
a chess endgame tablebase generator by Guido Antonelli for six and more pieces with a command line interface running under Linux, first released in June 2006 ^[1]. To use the generated TBs in a chess engine, a library (gafslib.o) is provided for Unix/Linux and Windows 32, with two entry points, initialization and probing ^[2].
