Etymology
The programs name was inspired by Gargamella, Italian for Gargamel [3], the Evil Wizard is the sworn enemy of the Smurfs from the Belgian comic and television franchise centered on a group of small blue fictional creatures, created and first introduced as a series of comic characters by the Belgian comics artist Peyo in 1958 [4], published by Dupuis. Further, Gargamella is a genus of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, shell-less marine gastropod molluscs in the family Discodorididae [5].Quotes
