Hans-Joachim Kraas,
a German computer scientist, county league tournament chess player and computer chess programmer. Along with Günther Schrüfer, Hans-Joachim Kraas is co-author of the chess programs Bobby, Bobby II, and Doctor?[1][2][3]. He holds a Ph.D. from Technical University of Braunschweig on parallelization of SSS*[4]. Kraas is co-author of Das große Computerschachbuch (German), describing chess programming topics, and the didactic chess program Demoschach written in Basic[5].
