a German mathematician, computer scientist and games programmer. He holds a diplom degree in mathematical optimization in 2002 on k-best modes in the Shannon switching game Connect-It [1] [2], and a Ph.D. in operations research in 2005 [3], both from University of Jena under advisor Ingo Althöfer. As a computer games programmer, he is author of the general game playing program MCRandom [4] [5], and further co-author of the EinStein würfelt nicht! bot Hanfried, and the Clobber program McJena (aka McClobber), competing at Computer Olympiads [6].
