Jeffrey (Jeff) Cooper,
a British microcomputer chess programmer and seasoned PCW tournament campaigners. Along with Clare Cooper, he is co-author of the chess program Wizard, competing the PCW-MCC 1979[1], and author of Chess '86 which had some problems while playing the European MCC 1982, as it collapsed during its game against Gambiet '82 and only managed to rectify it in time for the final round [2][3].
