Jim Parry,
a Canadian computer scientist and early computer chess programmer when he was undergraduate student at University of Waterloo in the mid 70s. Along with Ron Hansen, Russell Crook, and Gary Calnek [1], he was co-author of the successful mainframe program Ribbit [2], competing the WCCC 1974 and winner of the ACM 1974.
