John E. Comeau, (February 26, 1930 - December 12, 2005 ^[1])
was an American electrical engineer and industrial instructor at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, Massachusetts. He was author of the chess program CHEKMO-II for the PDP-8 ^{[2] [3]}.
