a French computer scientist in the TAO group [1] (mix of INRIA, CNRS and the university), Laboratoire de recherche en informatique (LRI), Paris-Sud 11 University. His research activities are focused on the usage of Machine Learning and more precisely of semi-supervised learning for scheduling in High Performance Distributed Systems, also known as Grid Systems, and Computer Go. Julien Pérez is co-author of the top level Go playing program Mogo, using Monte-Carlo Tree Search which uses patterns in the simulations and improvements in UCT [2].
