Klaus-Uwe Koschnick,
a German mahematician, computer scientist, and managing director at VIA Software, a software and consulting company with expertise in the airline and logistics industry [1], where he is responsible for new product development, operations research and project management [2]. He holds a diplom and Ph.D. (1990) in mathematics from Bielefeld University, where his advisors were Rudolf Ahlswede and Hans-Georg Carstens. Klaus-Uwe Koschnick is author of the Backgammon program Bax, Gold medal winner of the 4th Computer Olympiad, London 1992 [3].
