Koray Kavukcuoglu, a Turkish aerospace engineer, computer scientist, and researcher at Google DeepMind, involved in the WaveNet speech synthesis system, and the AlphaGo project. He holds degrees in Aerospace engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer science from New York University in 2005 and 2010 respectively. His research interests focus on machine learning including neural networks and deep learning. Along with Ronan Collobert and Clément Farabet, he is developer of the version of the machine learning library Torch5 [1] [2] and also contributed to subsequent versions [3].
