Leon David Piasetski,
a Canadian Independent Higher Education Professional [1] and Chess International Master, Canadian Junior Champion in 1970 [2]. He represented Canada at five Chess Olympiads, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1988, and 1992, and the World Championship Interzonal 1990 [3].

During the mid 70s, while affiliated with McGill University, he worked with Monty Newborn on the pawn endgame chess program Peasant, in particular on the implementation of the ONEPAWN and TWOPAWN interior node recognizers for KPK and KPPK positions [4].
