Maciej Szmit, a Polish M.Sc and Ph.D. in economy, computer scientist and former professor at Computer Engineering Department of Technical University of Łódź and former lecturer at Poznan University College of Business and Foreign Languages. Maciej Szmit is organizer of the Polish Computer Chess Championships, and author of the Akiba chess program and WBUnit, a Delphi unit for Chess Engine Communication Protocol support.
