Noam David Elkies, (born 1966)
an American chess player, composer of chess studies[1], mathematician and Professor at Department of Mathematics, Harvard University. His research interests covers combinatorial game theory, and he is renowned for his knowledge of the connections between mathematics and music as well as chess and mathematics.
