Onno Garms, a German mathematician and awarded [1] researcher at Fraunhofer Society. As chess player and autodidact programmer, he is author of the strong professional chess engine Onno [2], a C++ engine which uses Magic Bitboards. In March 2011, Onno Garms announced he stopped the development of Onno [3], and further revealed several ideas that made Onno stronger.
