Pedro Castro Elgarresta ^[1],
a Spanish computer chess programmer and author of the Chess Engine Communication Protocol compatible open source chess engine DanaSah ^{[2] [3]}, and the WinBoard compliant chess engine Caligula ^[4]. Pedro hosts the Hispanic Chess Engines site to promote the chess engines of Hispanic American authors, using the Winboard and UCI protocols ^[5], also giving explanations of chess programming aspects, such as move generation, evaluation and search ^[6].
