Pro Deo, (ProDeo)
a freeware version of the former commercial Rebel chess program series by Ed Schröder with a complete rewritten personality setting in self-explainable natural language, making it one of the most tunable chess engines ^[1]. Pro Deo is WinBoard and UCI compliant and runs under Windows with various GUIs, and incorporates an open source EOC database ^[2]. Pro Deo played the DOCCC 2004, ICT 2005, DOCCC 2005, DOCCC 2011, and the ICT 2012.
