Reza Shams,
an Austrian computer scientist, senior sales engineer at MicroStrategy Austria ^{[1] [2]}, and before technical specialist at Microsoft Central & Eastern Europe ^{[3] [4]}. In the 90s, while affiliated with the Vienna University of Technology, and Alcatel Austria ELIN Research Center, Vienna, he wrote his Diplom thesis (MSc) under supervision of Hermann Kaindl on search algorithms with focus on Alpha-Beta with Aspiration Windows, where he further published two papers along with Hermann Kaindl and Helmut Horacek.
