		Thomas Wolf, a German born physicist, mathematician, computer scientist and professor at the Department of Mathematics, Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. In the 80s, he was affiliated with the University of Jena, East Germany, during the 90s with Queen Mary, University of London. His research interests include computer algebra for ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and partial differential equations (PDEs), general relativity, and further mathematics education and computer Go, in particular the topics of Tsumego life and death problems, and the capturing race (Semeai). Thomas Wolf is author of the Tsumego problem program RisiKo, already introduced at the workshop of the 2nd Computer Olympiad 1990 in London, and the Tsumego solving software GoTools. Along with Lei Shen, he introduced the program ScanLD at the Computer Games Workshop 2007, built on GoTools, which checks solutions of life-and-death problems for correctness ^[1].
