When affiliated with VEB Mikroelektronik „Karl Marx“ Erfurt, Wolfgang Pähtz was involved in the development of the Chess-Master Diamond [1], and ported the Chess-Master program to run on a KC 85/2 personal computer (an Amstrad CPC clone) as Video Chess-Master [2]. Wolfgang Pähtz, brother of Thomas Pähtz, is uncle of the German chess Woman Grandmaster Elisabeth Pähtz [3].
