World Class Chess,
a commercial chess program written by David Stafford, published in 1987 [1], later possibly available as shareware [2]. Stafford claims World Class Chess was the first commercial chess program which offered a user-configurable opening book library [3]. A more recent Windows program with the same name is still sold [4].
