a chess engine, developed by Piotr Cichy since 2004, compatible with the Chess Engine Communication Protocol. It is optimized for the executable size - version 3.2 has only 29 kB, yet plays at about 2450 strength. It also has a smaller brother, a simplified version called pikoSzachy, currently 8 kB and about 2200 Elo strength. nanoSzachy won the 8th PCCC 2009.
