**Atak**, 
a [[Chess Engine Communication Protocol]] compatible chess engine by [[Mateusz Łuksik]] written in [[C]], initially as part of his Master's thesis from [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rzesz%C3%B3w_University_of_Technology|Rzeszów University of Technology]] in 2002 <ref>[[http://www.pzszach.org.pl/index.php?idm=1&idm2=233&id=763|Polski Związek Szachowy - oficjalna strona - 3.1. Atak had its over the board debut at the [[PCCC 2002|1st Polish Computer Chess Championship in 2002]] and was regularly participant of subsequent [[Polish Computer Chess Championship]], winning the [[PCCC 2010]]. Atak 6.8 played the [[IGWT 2014]], where it lost from later winner [[Chiron|Chiron 2]].
