**Delphil**,
a [[WinBoard]] and [[UCI]] compliant chess engine written by [[Philippe Fabiani]] in [[Pascal]] using [[Delphi|Delphi 7]] <ref>[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embarcadero_Delphi#Early_Borland_Years_.281995-2004.29|Embarcadero Delphi - Early Borland Years (1995-2004) - Wikipedia]]</ref> , first released in April 2004. Delphil started its life as Delphi port of [[Tom Kerrigan|Tom Kerrigan's]] [[TSCP]], and in 2009, Delphil still owned about 80% of TSCP's code base with [[Move Generation|move generation]] and [[Search|search]] almost identical. Most changes were done in [[Evaluation|evaluation]], further a [[Transposition Table|tranposition table]], various [[Extensions|extensions]] and [[Null Move Pruning|null move pruning]] were added <ref>[[http://www.blitzchess.fr/fr/programmeurs/programmeursfranais/fabianiphilippe/index.html|Fabiani Philippe]] from [[http://www.blitzchess.fr/fr/index.php|blitzchess.fr]] by [[Eric Belot]] (French)</ref> .
