**Mephisto RISC**,
a [[Dedicated Chess Computers|dedicated chess computer]] [[Module|module]] for [[Mephisto Module Systems]] by [[Hegener & Glaser]], first launched in 1991. Produced by [[TASC]], and similar to the [[ChessMachine]], it used an [[ARM2]] [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reduced_instruction_set_computing|RISC]] processor to run the [[Gideon]] based program of [[Ed Schroder|Ed Schröder's]] [[Rebel]] family, which won the [[WMCCC 1991]] in [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vancouver|Vancouver]]. The RISC 2 Modul launched in 1994, was updated with Gideon 3.1 of the ChessMachine, which won the [[WCCC 1992]] in [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madrid|Madrid]].
