Mike surprised by winning the [[PCW-MCC 1978|First PCW Microcomputer Chess Championship]], [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London|London]], September 1978, ahead of three commercial American programs, and even after loosing the first round from [[Fafner]] in a winning position due to a [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltage|voltage]] slip down to 220 while the machine required 240 volts <ref>[[David Levy]] (**1978**). //The PCW Microcomputer Chess Championships//.
