**Vlad Stamate**,
an American computer scientist, software and game developer with Romanian roots. He studied at [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politehnica_University_of_Bucharest|Politehnica University of Bucharest]] and graduated in CS with a B.Sc. degree in [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphic_design|graphic design]] from [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richmond,_The_American_International_University_in_London|Richmond, The American International University in London]] in 2001. Actually affiliated with [[Apple]], Vlad Stamate worked in the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research_and_development|R&D]] department of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Computer_Entertainment|Sony Computer Entertainment America]], leading the [[GPU]] performance analysis software team for the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3|Playstation 3]] console, and as an engineer for [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagination_Technologies|Imagination Technologies]] taking part in developing [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenGL|OpenGL]] [[Linux]] drivers <ref>[[http://www.shaderx6.com/authors.htm|ShaderX6 Programming - About the Authors]]</ref>.
