This page says that quotes should be in monospaced font (surrounded in curly braces.)  I've tried this several times without success.  If I edit anything that is already monospaced, all formatting is gone and the text is totally ruined.  If I try to replace it and put the new text in curly braces, the curly braces don't do anything except display actual curly braces.  Same result either in visual editor or in wiki-text editor.
